Superman is a superhero comic book character.  He wears a blue and red costume with an “S” on his chest and a cape.

According to the original story, Superman was born on the planet Krypton. He was sent to earth by his father who was a scientist. He was found and raised by a farmer and his wife. They called him Clark Kent.

When he discovered his superhuman abilities he decided to use them to help humanity.

Superman keeps these superhuman abilities secret and works at the Daily Planet (Metropolis newspaper) as a reporter. He has a romantic relationship with Lois Lane, a fellow reporter. When someone is in need, Clark Kent disappears and turns into Superman. Superman saves the day and then turns back into Clark Kent.
